The design of the road and railway accessing to Anaklia deep sea port is progressing actively. The design organization has submitted 4 alternative designs of the road and railway accessing to Anaklia deep sea port to Roads Department. The technical council of the Roads Department gave preference to alternative 1.Design organization will continue additional studies related to the best chosen direction in order to provide the detailed design.

Choosing the direction for the detailed design is the important stage. The detailed geological works will start for the chosen direction as well as the Environmental Impact Assessment and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) will be prepared.

The design of the road and railway accessing to Anaklia Deep Sea Port is provided by Australian Multinational Company – SMEC. SMEC must finish the design in October. The design contract price amounts to 7 million GEL.

The construction of the road and railway accessing to Anaklia Deep Sea Port will be fishined before the operation of the port.
