Reinstatement of separate damaged sections (km94-km123) of Kutaisi (Choma) – Alpana-Mamisoni Pass (border of the Russian Federation) secondary road is underway. The road section to be rehabilitated runs through the mountainous terrain, in the territory of Oni Municipality.  

Relevant measures are being undertaken within the scope of the project in order upgrade damaged road and ensure safe and comfortable movement.Project considers:  arrangement of gabion walls  at km94 of  Kutaisi (Choma) – Alpana-Mamisoni Pass road, both on the right and left sides of the road; rehabilitation of reinforced-concrete culvert at km98; arrangement of  lower retaining wall, reinforced-concrete pipe and chutes at km 106; arrangement of bank protection r/c wall at km123. In addition, asphalt-concrete pavement will be upgraded on the mentioned section.

Rehabilitation works are financed from the state budget and value is GEL 2 570 326. Project commenced in November 2018 and will be completed by the end of the current year.
