Gupta-Oni Secondary Road Rehabilitation Works km54 - km63 (L=10 km) are implemented by Roads Department of Georgia.

Gupta-Oni road is located in Oni municipality and has strategic importance as it is connected to one of the Georgia conflict regions. Mentioned road is also the only route to connect the settlement of adjacent villages with Oni Municipality.

Existing road is quite damaged and traffic is delayed. Road rehabilitation project considers construction of a new asphalt-concrete pavement, sidewalks, culverts, supporting walls and bus stop shelters. In addition, road safety improvement measures will be taken, in particular, road signs, safety barriers and marking of the carriageway would be provided.

Currently earthworks and arrangement of artificial structures are underway.

Project is financed by the World Bank and is implemented under the Third Secondary and Local Roads Project (SLRP III). Contractual price equals to GEL 6 488 890.

Rehabilitation works commenced in March of the current year and will complete in March 2020.
