Rehabilitation of 7km Tsalenjikha-Obuji-Jikhashkari (km7-km14.2) secondary road is ongoing.

Rehabilitating section, located in Tsalenjikha municipality, connects Tsalenjikha and Obuji. The damaged road was causing traffic delay. Furthermore, poor condition of the section was causing inconvenience to locals that had to use it every day.

The project envisages complete upgrade of 7km road section. The carriageway, artificial structures and pipelines will be rehabilitated. In addition, horizontal marking and installation of traffic signs will be provided within the project.

The project, worth GEL 4, 657, 200, is funded from the state budget. The works commenced in March 2019 and will be completed in December of the current year. 

After completion of the project, the road connecting Tsalenjikha and Obuji will be safe and comfortable.
