According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, people and cars that ended up stranded on Gudauri-Kobi road section are rescued.

Due to blizzard and limited visibility, this morning, traffic movement at Gudauri-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road has been restricted for all transport means. Before imposing restrictions a trailer has skidded at Gudauri-Kobi section, which caused closure of the road and stuck a bus and several light vehicles at the section of the pass. 

In order to rescue the stuck people and cars, representatives of contact organization of Roads Department, Patrol Police, Emergency Management Agency and Mountain Resort Development Company have conducted all the required measures.

Amid safety concerns, cleaning works of the whole section of Gudauri-Kobi road will start after lifting imposed restrictions.
