Submission of proposals for preparing design documentation on the road and railway accessing to Anaklia deep see port is finished. At the first stage of expression of interests, four companies were interested in preparing the design documentation and submitted the relevant technical and financial proposals. Among the participants one is the partnership consisting of the Georgian companies. Also the proposals have been submitted by the Spanish, Croatian and Australian companies.

At the first stage of the procedure, the technical proposals will be estimated (determined by 80%) while the second stage will include the estimation of the financial proposals (determined by 20%)

We would like to remind you that three tenders were announced in 2018 for the preparation of the detailed design documentation for construction of road, railway and relevant infrastructure but all of them finished unsuccessfully and the winner was not revealed.

By virtue of analysis of the reasons for the cancelled tenders and for selecting a qualified contractor, this time, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia will select the supplier of design service in a different manner. The form of the announced procedure has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the procurement of international financial institutions and the requirements of the legislation for state procurement regulation.
