According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to conducted cleaning works, traffic resumed for light vehicles at Gudauri-Kobi section.
Due to adverse weather (snow, wind, blizzard), traffic is restricted at Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road (border of Russian Federation) for trailers and semi-trailers, while traffic is free for other types of vehicles.
Pursuant to National Environment Agency, nonstop driving is allowed at Gudauri (Posta)–Kobi section, only through avalanche galleries.
Unidirectional traffic mode will be applied for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats in avalanche galleries.
According to the statement of National Environment Agency, nonstop driving shall be maintained at Mleta-Gudauri section (from Kvemo Mleta village up to km85 of the road).
Mentioned traffic mode will be enforced under direct supervision and coordination of the Patrol Police.
