Giorgi Tsereteli, Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has visited Gardabani municipality, to assess work completion of 2.2 km section of Tbilisi-Veli-Gachiani-Rustavi secondary road.

Within the project, asphalt-concrete pavement has been arranged at 2.2km road, artificial structures have been rehabilitated, junctions to local roads and entrances to citizens’ yards were constructed. The newly rehabilitated road has been equipped with traffic signs and horizontal marking.

Project budget exceeded GEL 2 million. Rehabilitation works started in June 2018 and completed in December.

During 2018 existed damaged viaduct has been rehabilitated at Tbilisi-Veli-Gachiani-Rustavi road. Users of the mentioned road are currently served by upgraded road and a bridge.

Roads Department is currently carrying out nine projects in Kvemo Kartli region.
