According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, avalanche hazards mode has been lifted at Gudauri-Kobi section and as a result of performed cleaning works, traffic movement has been resumed.

Due to snow and glaze ice, movement at Gudauri-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi international road is restricted for trailers and semi-trailers. Traffic is free for other means of transport.

Pursuant to National Environment Agency, traffic at Gudauri (Posta) – Kobi section should be uninterrupted and conducted through avalanche protection tunnels.

Uninterrupted movement mode will be imposed at Mleta-Gudauri (from the village Kvemo Mleta to km85 of the road) section, states National Environment Agency.

Traffic movement under mentioned mode will be conducted by direct supervision and coordination of the Patrol Police.
