Based on the information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to heavy snow and avalanche hazard traffic is  restricted for all transport types at km173-km186 (Kala-Ushguli) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road.

Movement is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats at km70-km173 (Khaishi-Kala) because of snow and glaze ice.  Movement is free at km 30-km90 (Jvari-Dizi) section for other transport means; while at km90-km173 (Dizi-Kala) movement is permissible by application of antiskid chains. The road is open for tandem-drive vehicles.

Traffic at km1-km30 (Zugdidi –Jvari) section is free.
