First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze, Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Shalva Kereselidze and representatives of the local self-government inspected rehabilitation works of Tianeti-Akhmeta road.

After implementation of the project, Tianeti and Akhmeta will be connected with a renewed and comfortable road instead of the existing damaged road.

Full rehabilitation and arrangement of asphalt concrete pavement will be conducted on the existing ground road on Tianeti-Akhmeta 30-km section.

Two new bridges will be constructed and two existing bridges will be rehabilitated.

The project is being carried out with the financial support of the World Bank and its cost amounts to 18 965 000 GEL.

At this stage, arrangement works of artificial structures as well as earthworks are ongoing and 20 people are employed. The project will be completed in February 2019.
