Innovative materials and technical solutions related to roads, bridges, tunnels and other technological processes submitted by private companies were discussed within the framework of the Technical Council Meeting at Roads Department.

Regarding innovative approaches, nine companies conducted their presentations. Presentations focused on application of new technologies, innovative construction materials, use of technogenic waste, road assets and solar panels in construction of road infrastructure.

The goal of Roads Department is to implement innovative methods in road construction-rehabilitation, and it is ready to work on new approaches together with construction organizations, which will ensure qualitative, quick and efficient performance of projects. 

 “We are focused on the best solution instead of production of a particular company. Based on complex approaches we should make acceptable and rational decisions in terms of dates, costs and parameters” – mentioned First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze.

Within the meeting, all interested organizations had possibilities to submit their 10-minute presentations on innovative approaches or use of new technologies.
