In sum, rehabilitation of 24 km section is underway on Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi secondary road in 2 projects.

A rehabilitation section starts at the village of Chvelieri and passes through the following villages: Tekali, Leushershi, Panaga, Sasashi, Lemzagori, Zhakhunderi, Mele and Benieri (communities of Choluri and Lashkheti). This section has not been rehabilitated since 1985 and the road was strongly damaged.

Within the project, problems existing on the road will be solved and 24 km section will be fully rehabilitated. Namely, asphalt concrete pavement will be arranged, artificial structures and existing bridges will be restored, a new bridge will be constructed, culverts, concrete gutters, supporting walls, junctions with local roads, entrances to private yards, gabions and ditches will be arranged.

Landslide processes are activated on several places of rehabilitation section. A design-geological study is ongoing in landslide hazard zones and after making a relevant design decision, rehabilitation works will be upgraded.

For now, earthworks and arrangement works of artificial structures, gabions and ditches are underway on remaining sections of the road.
Rehabilitation works started in 2017 and will be completed in 2019, on both sections. The total cost of the project is GEL 19 683 383 and will be financed by the state budget.
