First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze together with representatives of the Department and design organizations conducted the Technical Board Meeting.

Technical Board discussed alternative alignments of Tbilisi bypass and Natakhtari-Zhinvali roads. In addition, compliance of various technical parameters on Rustavi-Red Bridge and Algeti-Sadakhlo, Zemo Imereti-Racha, Bagdati-Abastumani, Sno-Juta-Roshka-Shatili-Omalo-Khadori Gorge-Batsara-Akhmeta and Lentekhi-Mestia roads was a topic of discussion.

Participants of the meeting discussed rehabilitation works of a tunnel bypass road and formation works of the riverbed located on the adjacent territory, on a km132-km135 section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road, and temporary scheme of traffic regulation on the bypass road during rehabilitation of a bridge crossing at the river Kistura, at km 136 of the same road.

Technical Board also discussed proposals submitted to solve Black Sea coastline problems.

Specialists of Roads Department and representatives of design organizations reviewed problems and needs emerging during design works and the ways to overcome them.

After completion of the meeting, Irakli Karseladze mentioned that Technical Board meetings are very important for activities of the Department.

 “In order to get a comprehensive and proper project that does not require significant changes in the implementation stage, it is necessary to hold such meetings regularly and to take into consideration each other’s views in order to achieve a desired outcome” – Irakli Karseladze said.
