If Sinohydro fails to fulfill its obligations sanctions will be imposed

First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze continues workshops with contractor companies. Today, Irakli Karseladze met with representatives of the company Sinohydro, together with engineers of the supervisory company.

At the meeting, completion details of the 2nd section of Kobuleti bypass road were discussed. Regarding the second project of Sinohydro, construction works on the 2nd section of Samtredia-Grigoleti road have fallen behind schedule, for this reason, Sinohydro received a strict warning from the Department.

Representatives of Sinohydro expressed readiness to prepare a plan-schedule in order to eliminate all existing problems in the shortest possible time and to complete work within the dates specified in the agreement. If the company fails to fulfill its obligations, relevant sanctions will be imposed against this company.

“We will do our best to complete all constructions started on the highway in the shortest possible time, as this project is very important for the development of our country and for the welfare of the population” – Irakli Karseladze said.
