Based on information of the Roads Department, due to weather deterioration throughout Georgia and expected snow in mountainous regions, Roads Department encourages all drivers moving towards mountainous regions, including owners of transit vehicles, to use winter tires for more safety.

Necessary heavy equipment is mobilized in the mountainous region, which will clean the road in an operative manner in order to maintain traffic, if necessary.

Due to the current situation, Roads Department encourages you to move with tires appropriate to winter period, proper vehicles and follow the modes established on roads.
