Roads Department carries out construction works of a 5.6 km section of Stepantsminda-Trinity Church access road in Kazbegi Municipality.

Within the framework of the project, the arrangement works of cement concrete pavement, culverts, support walls, bus stops and road improvement are being implemented, besides, arrangement of road signs and horizontal marking of the road will be carried out.

After completion of the project, tourists, local residents and pilgrims will be able to use an upgraded and comfortable road instead of the damaged ground road.

Works started in May this year and will be completed in autumn, 2018. The project is financed by the state budget and its cost is 7 793 854 GEL.

The Gergeti Holy Trinity Cathedral is a monument of XIV century, which is very interesting to tourists. Construction of the mentioned road will significantly promote the development of tourist potential in Kazbegi.
