Roads Department and its contractor companies were actively participating in works of taking the helicopter out of water in Borjomi Gorge. Roads Department mobilized necessary heavy equipment on the spot. At first, tractors arranged an access road to the helicopter in order to take the helicopter out of water with the help of a crane. Afterwards, a platform for heavy crane has been arranged, which took the helicopter out of water and placed it on evacuation transporter. As you know, the helicopter MI-8 owned by Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out an emergency landing on water in Borjomi Gorge while filling the water tank, which caused necessity to conduct an emergency operation.
