A landslide section was activated in the past few days at km 56 of Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo secondary road. A mass of rock and soil from exhausted and eroded landslide slope located near the road systematically collapses at carriageway, the part of which flows into the riverbed. Existing landslide processes gave rise to a partial dam of the river and, as a result of increasing water level, two sections of road were flooded.

Relevant services of Roads Department are on-site and mobilization of additional equipment is already started in order to clean the road in the shortest possible time.

Roads Department recommends to be attentive and careful regarding this section and the avoidance of traffic stops at places of rock falling.
