Construction specialists of road infrastructure will be retrained in Croatia.

Considering future plans of the Government of Georgia, Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia starts implementation of projects of unprecedented number and size in the future years. Due to lack of qualified specialists in Georgia, Roads Department addressed to active contractors, consultative firms, which carry out design and supervision works to train and retrain new specialists in the working process, which will be employed in infrastructure projects subsequently.

JSC Institute IGH and its partner Austrian construction company Avenue Osteuropa GmbH were the first who responded to the initiative of Roads Department, and they conducted negotiations with the Government of Croatia, as a result of which 50 individuals will be able to obtain qualified knowledge on European construction sites and use that knowledge during implementation of infrastructure projects in Georgia.

Specialists selected under the project (specialists of installation of armature, concrete, reinforced concrete construction) will travel to Croatia at 2-3 months and will be distributed to different construction sites of Avenue Osteuropa GmbH, where they will study modern technologies related to construction of roads, tunnels and bridges, concrete works and construction-reconstruction of road infrastructure in field conditions and will be introduced to European standards.

Expenses related to internships will be covered by the company Avenue Osteuropa GmbH. Consequently, high qualified specialists of construction will return to Georgia.

Necessary qualification requirements:

• Specialist of installation of armature, concrete or reinforced concrete construction

• Engineering education

• Professional working experience

• Knowledge of English

• Is not limited by age
