Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia completes construction-reconstruction works of the 12 km section of Tianeti-Zaridzeebi-Zhinvali.

Asphalt concrete pavement on km10-km23 section of Tianeti-Zaridzeebi-Zhinvali was remained fragmentally, while water protection system is out of order. After completion of the project existing problems will be fully resolved.

The project envisages arrangement works of asphalt concrete pavement, artificial structures, 2 bridge crossings, reinforced concrete pipes, ditches, support walls and gabions. Besides, the arrangement works of junctions with local roads, entrances to private yards, bus stops and enclosed bus stops, road signs, road encirclement using a metal cable and signposts will be implemented. Horizontal marking will be carried out on the road.  

The section to be constructed will pass through the villages of Dusheti Municipality: Zaridzeebi, Zemo Bichvinta, Verkhveli, Zemo Sharakhevi, Zenamkhari, Iarajulebi, Ivliantgori, Lakhato, Sakrechio, Kvemo Sharakhevi, Xoptsa, Jojeti, Pudznari and Bodavi.

The cost of the project is GEL 21 536 367 and will be financed by the state budget. Works started in May 2014 and will be completed by the end of July. A total of 80 people are employed in the construction works.
