According to Roads Department, starting from May 22, vehicles moving in the West direction (on Kutaisi-Samtredia route) move using Old Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road (passing through the city of Kutaisi).

Traffic in the East direction is being carried out unilaterally (on Samtredia-Kutaisi route).

Many violations and defiance to the established mode have been observed in this direction. Due to the current situation, the Roads Department recommends you to move in accordance with traffic rules and be subordinate to modes established on roads.

At present, additional road safety measures on Kutaisi bypass-Samtredia section of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road are underway which includes:

•           Arrangement of outdoor lighting network

•           Arrangement of rumble strips and additional road signs

•           Arrangement of video-surveillance system

Upon the completion of works, traffic on Kutaisi bypass-Samtredia section will be resumed in both directions and drivers will be able to move using illuminated, even more secure and organized infrastructure. Currently, traffic is being implemented under direct supervision and subordination of Patrol Police of the MIA.
