Within maintenance, Roads Department is intensively carrying out restoration works of road pavement. Besides, horizontal marking works of roads are underway.

Roads were severely damaged due to heavy snowfall during the winter period and technical salt spread on roads to keep traffic. As meteorological conditions improved, contractor organizations of the Department started repair works of damaged roads.

At this stage, repair works on 70% of roads damaged during the winter period have been completed across Georgia. Repair works ongoing in the lowland will be completed by the end of April. Due to meteorological conditions, repair works of roads in mountainous regions will be started in April and will be carried out step by step.
