Roads were significantly damaged during the winter season due to heavy snowfall, strong freeze and technical salt spread on roads to keep traffic. As meteorological conditions improved, repair works of damaged roads have been actively started. In the near future, damaged pavement on central roads will be fully restored throughout the country.

At this stage, within the maintenance, Roads Department is actively carrying out restoration works of damaged pavement in Kakheti region.  Repair works of pits are underway on Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi and Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi roads.

Repair of roads damaged during the winter season in Kakheti region will be completed in the middle of April.
