Due to avalanche hazard, traffic at km173-km188 (Kala-Ushguli) of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road is forbidden for all modes of transport. Due to clear ice traffic at km30-km172 is forbidden for trailers and semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats. Movement for other modes of transport is permitted by application of antiskid chains. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axis.
