In order to solve this problem, the first section of Kobuleti bypass road has been constructed and the second section is under construction. Mentioned sections will be added by Batumi bypass road, as a result of which traffic in the Adjara resort zone will be fully relieved and transit turnover will be increased.

Batumi new bypass road will pass through: Makhinjauri, Gantiadi, Kapreshumi, Salibauri, Peria, Makhvilauri and Khelvachauri.

This section is a part of spatial development of the country, which is an important direction of 4-point plan, initiative of Prime Minister George Kvirikashvili.

E60-E70 highway is the shortest road connecting the countries of Europe and Asia. Depending on physical location of the highway, it has potential to become a major transportation hub between the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea and Central Asia.
