In order to solve this problem, the first section of Kobuleti bypass road has been constructed and the second section is under construction. Mentioned sections will be added by Batumi bypass road, as a result of which, traffic in the Adjara resort zone will be fully relieved and transit turnover will be increased. Period of construction works is 2017-2020.

Batumi new bypass road will pass through: Makhinjauri, Gantiadi, Kapreshumi, Salibauri, Peria, Makhvilauri and Khelvachauri.
