Rehabilitation of 8 km of Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalka road is going to an end

Roads Department of Georgia is implementing the rehabilitation of the 8 km section of Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalka secondary road.

The road to be rehabilitated starts from the exit of the town of Tetritskaro and ends at the turn of the village of Chivchavi. As a result of project implementation, communication between the municipalities will be improved, local residents and road users will travel safely and comfortably using the renewed road.

Under the Project: rehabilitation of the carriageway, artificial structures, 1 bridge, 1 viaduct crossing the railway and construction of a new bridge was envisaged.

Junctions with local roads, entrances to private yards, bus stops and enclosed bus stops were arranged. Road signs will be arranged and the carriageway will be marked.

At the moment, rehabilitation works of bridges and viaduct are underway.

Deputy Chairman of Roads Department Givi Chochia has inspected implemented works.

The project started in April 2915 and will be completed in January 2017. Works were financed by the state budget and the cost amounted to GEL 4 990 567.
