A new bridge is being constructed in Manglisi

By order of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, construction works of a new bridge crossing are underway at km 29 of Tbilisi (Pantiani) – Manglisi secondary road instead of the existing stone arch bridge crossing.

The bridge is located in the Tetritskaro Municipality, namely, at the crossing of Unnamed Stream in a small town Manglisi. After putting the bridge into use, tourists and guests in the resort area of Manglisi will be able to move safely and comfortably.   

The project envisages: construction of the new reinforced concrete arch bridge with a single span; arrangement works of the bridge carriageway, shoulders, junctions with local roads, road signs and encircling; horizontal marking on the bridge carriageway will be carried out. At the moment, the arrangement works of piles are underway.

Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia Givi Chochia has inspected ongoing works.

The project is being financed by the state budget and its cost is GEL 1 832 900. Works started in August 2016 and will be completed in October 2017.
