Situation existing on roads

According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, as a result of cleaning works implemented. Traffic is free for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats on km-16-km29 (Dzevri-Tkibuli) section of Cholaburi Bridge-Terjola-Tkibuli secondary road.

Due to intensive snow and glaze ice, special traffic regimes are established on several road sections:

Traffic is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats on km30-km188 (Jvari-Khaishi) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road. Traffic for other modes of transport is permitted only with anti-skid chains. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axles.

Traffic is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats on km68-km125 (Tsageri-Benieri) of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili road and traffic is permitted for other modes of transport only with anti-skid chains. Traffic is free for all vehicles on km1-km67 section of this road.

Traffic is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats on km1-km22 section of Alpana-Tsageri road. Traffic is free for other modes of transport.

Traffic is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats on km21-km65 (Khresili-Cheliagele) of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road and traffic is permitted for other modes of transport only with anti-skid chains. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axles.

Traffic for all modes of transport is permitted only with anti-skid chains on km87-km106 section of Batumi-Akhaltsikhe road. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axles.  

Given the current circumstances, Roads Department advises citizens to use tires appropriate for the winter period and technically arranged transport, and follow traffic regimes established on roads.
