Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, it’s the third day of heavy snowfall on Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road. According to National Environmental Agency, bad weather could lead to avalanche hazard, therefore, traffic is forbidden for all modes of transport on this section of road. Road cleaning activities are also forbidden.

At present, about 60 vehicles are waiting as the road will be opened at Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi section.

Starting from tomorrow, as the weather improves and road cleaning works will be started, traffic for stopping vehicles will be free as soon as possible.
