Experimental works of innovative road arrangement method have been performed on the 300 km section of Ponitchala-Marneuli-Guguti road (border of the Republic of Armenia), for the first time in Georgia.

Arrangement of the road base (stabilization) with a new method, is carried out through the special cement-like admixture. Its cost per square meter is US$5-6, which is almost twice as cheap as the classical method.

The mentioned method is actively used in Europe. Innovation is already approved in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition to rehabilitation of roads faster and cheaper, the road base arranged with this method is more sustainable and stable. It also reduces water penetrability.  

According to the results of the examination, conducted after completion of works, experts positively estimated the method. As experts concluded, the road base arranged with the new method fully meets the parameters of technical requirements.

Rehabilitation of Kirokavani-Kumurdo road and the 3 km section of Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road with the new method is planned in 2017.
