Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Givi Chochia inspected rehabilitation works of the 10.47 km section of Orpiri-Tsutskhvati-Mghvime road.

A rehabilitation section of Orpiri-Tsutskhvati-Mghvime road starts at the turning located at km 9 of Kutaisi (Motsameta)-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road, passes through the villages of Tkibuli Municipality (Orpiri, Koka, Okhomira and Tsutskhvati) and ends at the village of Tsutskhvati. The mentioned road leads to the ruins of the historical Tsutskhvati fortress and the beginning of a mountain trail leading to the karst cave, which is particularly important in terms of tourism.

The carriageway will be marked. At this stage, works for the arrangement of road foundation are underway.

The project is financed by the state budget and its cost amounts to GEL 7 999 170.34. Works started in August 2016 and will be completed in January 2018.
