Within the rubric of photo-reportage, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia provides photo materials reflecting restoration works of a road retaining wall in Kharagauli Municipality.

Restoration works of damaged retaining wall of the road are underway at km 156 of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road, namely, in the village of Khunevi in Kharagauli Municipality.

The project envisages: arrangement of the foundation for the lower retaining wall, arrangement of a new reinforced concrete wall and reinforced concrete protective constructions on the destroyed section of the wall to avoid washing off and to strengthen. In addition, drain pipes will be constructed inside the wall. The mentioned measures will protect the roadbed from damages and washing off.

The project is financed by the state budget and its cost amounts to GEL 751 705. Works started in June this year and will be completed by the end of this year.
