Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Givi Chochia inspected rehabilitation works of the 4 km access road to the village of Didveli.

The mentioned section starts at km 17 of Kutaisi-Bagdati-Abastumani-Benara in Bagdati Municipality, passes through the villages of Rikoti, Didveli and merges to the village of Vartsikhe.

The rehabilitation project envisages arrangement of the carriageway, junctions with local roads, entrances to private yards, bus stops and enclosed bus stops, culverts and crossings. In addition, horizontal marking works of the road will be carried out.

At present: construction works of artificial structures and drainage channels are underway; the asphalt concrete pavement is constructed on the 1.2 km of road.

The project is being implemented by financing from the World Bank under the Third Secondary and Local Roads Project (SLRP III) and its cost amounts to GEL 2 542 275. Works started in May this year and will be completed in May, 2017.
