Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia announced the international bidding for preparation of design documentation in several directions, in order to construct-modernize of the highway and highway connecting roads.

Under the Fourth East West Highway Improvement Project, interested applicants submitted the bid proposals in following directions, for:

-         Preparation of pre-feasibility study and feasibility study for Jinvali-Larsi road;

-         Preparation of detailed design for the construction of Kvesheti-Kobi road section;

-         Preparation of feasibility study for Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe and Tsnori-Lagodekhi roads;

-         Preparation of detailed design for the upgrading of Tbilisi-Sagarejo and Sagarejo-Bakurtsikhe roads;

-         Preparation of pre-feasibility study and feasibility study for Samtredia-Zugdidi bypass road (including access road to Anaklia Deep Sea Port).  

In addition, bidders’ financial proposals were open in order to ensure the rehabilitation of the 50 km section of Dzirula-Kharagauli-Moliti-Pona-Chumateleti road and preparation of detailed design, bidding documentation, environmental impact assessment, detailed plan for land acquisition and resettlement.

The mentioned road sections represent the part of spatial development of the country - one of the directions considered in four-point Governmental reform plan initiated by Prime Minister George Kvirikashvili.
