Due to clear ice and intense snow , traffic on Mleta-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats  is forbidden, traffic is free for other type of transport at Mleta-Gudauri(Posta) section. Traffic at Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi section is permitted by application of antiskid chains. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axis.
