The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia starts the preparation of feasibility study and detailed design for the upgrading of E60 highway, Rustavi-Red Bridge and Rustavi-Sadakhlo roads.

Implementation of the mentioned project will be financed by the World Bank under the Fourth East-West Highway Improvement Project.

At this stage, technical and financial proposals for preparation of feasibility study and detailed design for the upgrading of Rustavi-Red Bridge and Rustavi-Sadakhlo roads are presented by four companies. At the next stage, contractual negotiations with the selected company and preparation of feasibility study and detailed design will be started.

Construction of 40 km road section is planned from Rustavi towards Sadakhlo. The estimated cost of construction amounts to US $ 90 million. Construction of 35 km road section is planned from Rustavi towards the Red Bridge and its estimated cost amounts to US $ 110 million.
