The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia constructs a new bridge crossing at km 2 of Narekvavi-Mtskheta-Railway Station secondary road. Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department Givi Chochia inspected ongoing works on the bridge.

It is noticeable that the bridge crosses the Western Route Export Pipeline, owned by British Petroleum and, therefore the project is being implemented with special caution. Under the project, the new bridge crossing will be arranged instead of existing rectangular pipe bridge.  Narekvavi-Mtskheta-Railway Station road passes through the city of Mtskheta and represents its main transport artery. The new bridge crossing ensures safe and comfortable movement for passengers on this road section.

Works are financed by the state budget and its cost is GEL 2 569 000. The project will be completed this year.
