The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia carries out construction works of a new bridge crossing on the river Chkhere at km 125 of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi international road (the border of the Russian Federation).

The bridge, located on the river Chkhere in Kazbegi Municipality, was damaged by mud flows of the river and construction of a new, alternative bridge became necessary.
The project envisages: construction of the new bridge crossing with a length of 75 m and 3 spans; arrangement of bridge carriageway, new culverts, drains and road signs. In addition, horizontal marking works of bridge carriageway will be carried out.
The project is funded by the state budget and its cost is GEL 3 680 000. Works will be completed this year.
