Construction of Kobuleti bypass road is ongoing intensively

Construction works of 18 km section of Kobuleti bypass road (lot II) are ongoing intensively.  Georgia’s one of the longest bridge (1180 m) is being constructed in mentioned road section with modern technology of Movable Scaffolding System method. The project also envisages: construction of asphalt concrete pavement on two-lane road; construction of 15 bridges, 2 tunnels and other artificial structures. At present, construction of asphalt concrete pavement is being implemented in this section.

Kobuleti bypass road will improve local and transit transport movement in the territories of Adjara, travel time and costs will be reduced considerably. The redirection of transit traffic from Adjara coastline to a new road will promote amelioration of ecological conditions of the resorts and comprehensive development of tourism in the region.

The Project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and its total cost amounts to GEL 209,852,079.67.
