Construction of Kobuleti bypass road is actively progressing

Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing constructing works of 18 km Kobuleti bypass road (Lot 2) in intensive regime.

Project envisages arrangement of  two-lane asphalt-concrete pavement, 15 bridges, 2 tunnels and structures.

At this stage construction of asphalt-concrete pavement and  bridges are ongoing.

Construction of Kobuleti bypass road is an important project for region and for country’s economic, because, movement will become easier as for locals as well as for transit flows. Travel time will significantly decrease, accordingly , expenses. After construction of mentioned road, transit traffic will be diverted from the seaside lane to the new road which will contribute to the improvement of ecological situation in resorts and development of tourism in the region.

Chairman of Roads Department George Seturidze inspected ongoing works at Kobuleti bypass road (Lot II).

Project is financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB).  Cost of the project is GEL 209,852,079.67
