The second stage of the construction works of Kobuleti bypass road is underway in Adjara region. In the process of building, the connection works will be accomplished at the four points of the several road sections between the highway under construction and the central gas pipeline. Based on above, the natural gas supply will be suspended for all consumers in Adjara region since June 24 of the current year.

The connection works on central pipeline shall be continued until June 27, and then the “Socar Georgia Gas” will be able to operate the pipeline and start the process of providing the natural gas, the process shall be taken step by step and finished on June 29.

We apologize to the local residents and all other consumers of natural gas for existing situation.

We appeal to the population of Kobuleti, Batumi and Khelvachauri for paying the special attention to the safety procedures, to ensure the taps of gas facilities in closed condition in order to avoid unforeseen events at the time of turning on the natural gas. 

In addition, the commercial users of natural gas and strategic institutions shall ensure the providing of the alternative fuel for this period, in order not to delay their normal functioning.

The personnel of “Socar Georgia Gas’s” regional office, located in Adjara, will be moved on 24-hour working regime. The contractor company, which actively cooperates with the appropriate services of the Government of Adjara and the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, will also fulfill the works in 24-hour regime, in order to complete the communication changing process without any interruption and as quickly as possible.
