The final lesson in road safety awareness was given at the public school of Chitatskari village, in Zugdidi Municipality by organization of Roads Department of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and non-governmental organization “Partnership for Road Safety”.
The representatives of the project have informed the schoolchildren about traffic rules and behavior on the highway, methods for avoiding risks and the statistics of road accidents.
Schoolchildren were given the appropriate thematic guidelines, informational materials and the reflective facilities necessary for the safe movement of pedestrians on the highway.
The meeting also was attended by representatives of the Patrol Police. Law enforcement officials called the schoolchildren for obeying the rules during movement.
During this academic year lessons in the road safety given under the project “Make Our Roads Safe” have been attended by approximately 1300 schoolchildren from 15 schools located along the highway.
The project “Make Our Roads Safe” is being implemented by the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and non-governmental organization “Partnership for Roads Safety”.
