First Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nugzar Gasviani together with the representatives of the World Bank mission observed the ongoing works  at Agara-Zemo Osiauri sections.

The World Bank mission has been in Georgia for several days already and jointly with the RD representatives conducts monitoring of the Bank financed highway projects.

Part of the mian transit highway of the country – 12 km section of Agara-Zemo Osiauri road will be completed at the end of the current year.Construction of 7 km  cement-concrete  pavement will be completed and trafiic will be opened at the end of May, 2016.

Currently, arrangement of concrete pavement and strucrutes are ongoing.

Georgian Company Black Sea Group and Kuwait Company Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L implement civil works. Project is financed by the World Bank. Project value is more than GEL 105,7 mln

After completion of construction of Agara-Zemo Osiauri section, road capacity will be increase, level of traffic safety will improve and travel time will be reduced.
