Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia provides photo materials reflecting rehabilitation progress of 14,7 km Tbilisi bypass road in the category of weekly pictures gallery.

Section under rehabilitation will pass through Gardabani Municipality, Gamarjveba and Gardabani villages. This road has great importance as international transit cargo, as well as agricultural point.

Rehabilitation project considers: construction of two-layer asphalt-concrete pavement, arrangement of entrances to private yards, public transport stops and enclosed bus stops. Arrangement of structures,existing culverts,shoulders,ditches and gabions. Road signs would be installed and marking of the carriageway would be done.

Arrangement of road shoulders and restoration works  of the bridge are ongoing.

Rehabilitation works started in December 2015 and will be completed in summer 2016. Project is financed from the state budget and its cost is GEL 12 mln 121 thousands.
