Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli Khergiani inspected rehabilitation works of 10 km section of Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni road.

Mentioned secondary road section is situated in Russian border and has not been upgraded for 25 years. Asphalt-concrete pavement was badly damaged and deformed. Project considers: construction of the carriageway base,rehabilitation of bridge on river Sakalmakhe and bridge on river Ghele. Also, construction of reinforced-concrete pipes and concrete supporting walls. Arrangement of entrances to private yards, junctions to local roads, public transport stops and enclosed bus stops. Arrangement of culverts, ditches and gabions.

At this stage rehabilitation of ditches, gabions and deformed seats are underway.

The cost of the project is GEL 5 932.08 000 and will be completed in 2016.
