Traffic is free at Gombori pass

Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, as a result of cleaning works traffic at Gombori pass is allowed without application of antiskid chains and movement is free on the entire road.

By this time one-way traffic is resumed in Guria on secondary Ozurgeti-Lesa and Shukhuti-Dzimiti roads whereon road widening works are underway.

Restrictions on other roads:

Movement on Gudauri-Kobi section is forbidden due to avalanche hazard;
Movement on Mleta- Gudauri section is allowed by application of antiskid chains.
Traffic for trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on: Choloki bridge-Sarpi section and Nakerala pass;

Cleaning works in all directions are underway during 24 hours. Representatives of Supervision Unit of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia carry out on-site coordination and monitoring of ongoing cleaning works.

In view of created circumstances, Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia urges population to use winter tyres, technically acceptable vehicles and follow traffic restrictions established on roads.
