Situation existing on roads

Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, traffic is resumed at km138-km152 (Chumateleti-Khevi) section of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road as a result of intensive cleaning works and traffic is free on the entire road for all mode of transport.

Traffic on Bobokvati-Batumi section is possible without application of antiskid chains and movement in this direction is free. Restrictions remain on Choloki Bridge-Sarpi section, whereon movement is forbidden for trailers and semi-trailers.

Special restrictions are established on different sections of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road:

Movement on Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi section is forbidden for all mode of transport due to avalanche hazard (restriction related to avalanche hazard is established on the basis of the notification of National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia);
Due to snow and clear ice traffic on Aragvispiri-Gudauri(Posta) and Kobi-Larsi sections is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats;
- Movement on Mleta- Gudauri(Posta) section is allowed by application of antiskid chains.
- Stoppage of vehicles is not allowed during movement along km134-km135 section (Dariali gorge). Mentioned traffic regime will be enforced under direct supervision and coordination of Patrol Police.
- Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axis on the entire road (besides the section which is in danger of snow-slide).

Traffic restrictions effective on other roads:

Abundant precipitation caused activation of avalanche processes that resulted in collapsing of road bed at km5 of Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni pass. Therefore movement on mentioned section is forbidden. Traffic flow is diverted to Gumati-Rioni-Zarati-Opurchkheti road, but movement in this direction is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats.
Due to complicated meteorological conditions (intense snow, storm, snow drifts and clear ice), traffic at km24-km25 section of Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi road is forbidden for trailers and semi-trailers, but for other vehicles movement is free.
Due to intense snow and glaze ice, movement at km 93-km160 (Chalaubani-border of Azerbaijan) section of Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi road (border of Azerbaijan) is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats. Traffic is free for other type of transport.
Due to complicated meteorological conditions (strong wind and snow drifts), traffic at km14-km31 section of Tbilisi Bypass road is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats, but for other vehicles movement is free.
Due to heavy snow, freeze and clear ice, traffic at km36-km58 (Verona-Shuamta) section of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road is permitted by application of antiskid chains. Movement is free for vehicles with two or more main axis. Traffic is free on other sections of the road.
Traffic is restricted for all mode of transport at km182-km188 (Kala-Ushguli) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road due to avalanche hazard. Due to heavy snow and clear ice, traffic at km30-km182 (Jvari-Kala) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. Movement is free for vehicles with two or more main axis, but for other vehicles movement at km100-km182 (Lakhamura-Kala) section is permitted by application of antiskid chains, movement is free at km1-km29 (Zugdidi-Jvari) section for all mode of transport.

Due to heavy snow, traffic at km37-km50 (Nakerala pass) section of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road is forbidden for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. Movement is free for other mode of transport.
Due to complicated meteorological conditions (snow-storm and limited visibility), traffic at km94-km110 (Nardevani-Rodionovka (Paravani)) section of Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road is forbidden for all mode of transport.
