Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia as recommended by National Environmental Agency, traffic is forbidden for all mode of transport on Mleta-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road due to snow-storm and avalanche hazard.

According to preliminary information, snow slide occurred on several locations along  Mleta-Gudauri road. Complete information about snow sliding will be available on the basis of visual inspection which shall be carried out after elimination the risk of avalanche. Cleaning works to be implemented and time for road opening will depend on the volume of snow-slide. 

Relevant divisors of RD are mobilized on site and start cleaning works upon elimination of avalanche hazard.
